Most people would not think of making a living for themselves by going to the local dump and collecting trash to potentially find something redeemable, but to many families in San Luis, this is an everday reality. The average temperature on a summer day in this desert is 120 degrees, which only magnifies the intense odors permeating from the waste of a city. No matter the heat, the people still go to see what they can find. Despite their hard work, they are still living in poverty. As a blessing to these people, Caring Hearts Ministries established a watering station to supply water daily for those in need. Over the years, many groups have come to share not only rice and beans to fill them physically, but the Word of God to feed them spiritually.
Please pray for them and consider coming to visit them on your next missions trip!
