I love the Willamette Community Church group because they fearlessly bring entire families, including small children, to experience the joy of a Caring Hearts Mission´s trip. It is a blessing to know we can have an impact on both Mexican and American children. Here are some of their testimonies.
When we first got to Bethel a whole bunch of kids surrounded us and we all instantly became friends. Caring Hearts is the place to be if you love kids. At Caring Hearts, they are all nice and so kind. - Megan My testimony is that all the kids just love you and care for you even though they don´t know it, it just makes me so happy. - Jessi I liked how we got to play with the kids a little bit and when we played with them I was thinking even though these kids don´t have much they are still really happy and that makes me feel happy because they really don´t have much and it´s real amazing that the first they see you they are attached and that´s all. - Kodi

Friday night we said goodbye to the group from Willamette Community Church of Albany Oregon. As always it was a blessing to have them. Even though they went through a number of problems with their vehicles and customs, they maintained a joyful spirit and blessed the people of Tabasco and San Luis. Here are some pictures from the farewell party at Bethel.
The Willamette Community Church group participated in our church service Thursday night with a drama. They also gave out soup mixes they had brought from California. It was a blessed service led by our youth group. The group also visited the women´s rehab center and shut ins.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPA HAROLD!!!Our founder and director Papa Harold McKamish is 84 today! He is such a blessing for Caring Hearts and San Luis. We wish you the best, Papa Harold, we appreciate you greatly and pray daily for you. On behalf of all the children in our homes, all the folks in our church, our shut ins, the blind, those who attend the soup kitchen, our staff and all of San Luis, we wish you a Happy Birthday, We Love you!
Right now we are hosting a group from Willamette Community Church of Albany OR. They discovered us several years ago via the internet, and have been bringing more and more people to experience Caring Hearts in San Luis. They spend the first three days working with a pastor friend in Baja California, then begin working in San Luis. They painted our new annex to the Oasis workshop, visit shut ins, a rehab center and our church. They are a family team and bring many children with them, they love to spend time with the orphans of Bethel. Here is a picture of the building they painted and a look at their presence in the Oasis Bible Study.
I cannot explain how much God has taught me in planning this trip, and being here. San Luis and Caring Hearts ministry 5 years ago is the place where God truly broke, healed and captured my heart. I cannot explain the joy that it has been to, by the strength of the Lord, come here and experience the beautiful kids, and the joy of people who lack necessities. My faith is strengthened to see how God takes care of his people. My heart is overjoyed at the love of God, and how he let us be a part of what He is doing here. He has chosen the Caring Hearts staff to do incredible things here. I feel like this is my home. Love - Natalie, Belmont University
Recently, thanks to the generous giving of Grace Methodist/IUP Group from Indiana PA, we were able to insulate the church. It left our walls blank, and we wanted to decorated it someway. We thought of using banners that represent the names of Jesus. The Damaris and the church youth group stepped up and did a beautiful job, with the help of Patty, here are some pictures.
Bethel Orphanage provide us with the warmest welcome and I thouroughly enjoyed the hospitality shown to us. Hanging with the kids each day was a huge blessing, I hate that we had to leave so soon. Visiting people at the shut ins was wonderful. It was both very hard and very encouraging. Going to the dump was nothing short of eye opening. It is important that we see these situations and share God's love there, and Caring Hearts provided a way. I enjoyed every aspect of the trip. The days are full, and it was emotionally jam packed, but worth every second. The prison ministry, homeless ministry, street ministry, all provided us a chance to meet people and share love as well as receive it. Perfect trip. Only complaint, it didn't last long enough. I hope to carry what has been seen and shared in San Luis to the United States. - Joshua, Belmont University
Thank you so much for having us. This trip was so great. One of my favorite missions I have been on. Everything we did was so great. I loved every second of being heare. This week went by so fast and I can't believe we have to go home already. You guys are doing some incredible things. These kids here are so filled with joy. I love waking up to their laughter and seeing their smiling faces everyday. My heart has been changed so much by this experience. Each and every day something changed my life in some way or another. Thank you so much for what you are doing and for sharing all these things with us. - Shayna, Belmont University
