Now that the boys of Oasis are out of school, they have more opportunities to learn the trades we have available. Here in these pictures they are learning to weld, practicing on scrap metal we have saved for this purpose.
It was another great visit to San Luis for my family and I. What a blessing to come and serve the people of San Luis! Going home so many wonderful memories and filled with so much joy after spending time here. Truly blessed by all the beautiful smiles on the faces of the children. - Janice, Sonlight Missions
Here is a picture of Andres, who has taught the Oasis boys how to play music and be a praise band. We are helping him with his studies to be a nurse. Here he is checking the pressure of our cook Rosalva. He has been a blessing to the boy's home and has a true heart for God, despite difficult circumstances he has faced in his life.
San Luis is my favorite missions trip. We have been coming here for 11 years and it just gets better and better. I love seeing the kids grow up and how happy they are here. You can see they get a lot of love because they give it back. They are like one big happy family and I love being part of that family. - Sharon, Sonlight Missions.
Pedro and the boys are building an extension to the workshop to make room for all of the new tools donated by our friend Rick from Florida. It is an excellent learning opportunity for the boys, who are all excited to learn more about construction. Here are some pictures of the work in progress.
I would like to thank God first of all for providing the finances for me to come. Second of all thank God for Caring Hearts Ministry and Sonlight Missions for sponsoring and providing a way for mission trips like these so that the groups can come to help to minister to the needy and lost people of San Luis. I thank God for Bethel Orphanage and Mama Bertha for having us here. Ken, Adalberto, Marcelo and family, God bless you all for all you do.
We love you all. Cindy, Sonlight Missions Three young men from Oasis, Fernando, Daniel and Jesus, graduated from middle school and will be heading off to high school next year. Pray for them as they continue their education.
I thank God for the privilege to come to Mexico, to help the people here and show them God's love, and to see them show love back, by the smiles on their faces. I pray I am able to return next year - Cindy, Sonlight Missions
