Libania and a few of the others at the Blind Center have been trained in massage therapy. Recently, they put up curtains to divide one of the rooms at the center so that they could begin offering therapy and provide clients with a private atmosphere. We're so excited about the initiative that Libania and the others have taken, and we hope that this will help them become more self-sufficient in their new business.
Dads are great, so it's only fitting that the Caring Hearts church celebrated Father's Day together. There was a guest speaker, our very own Pedro! The kids performed a dance, they ate some good food, and there were some games for all the dads to participate in.
Overall it was a great day, and hopefully the dads felt a little bit of a blessing that they've been to all of us over the years.
Happy (belated) Father's Day!
We're gearing up for a new children's program that will be on Saturdays this summer. It will include singing, a lesson, puppets, games, crafts, and more!
Pastor Francisco is making puppets to help capture the kids attention.
Karlita will be teaching choreography to the songs the kids will be singing.
Last weekend some of the boys helped set up goal posts so they could play soccer at the Soup Kitchen.
And of course they had to try them out too.
We're so excited about everything that's happening at the Soup Kitchen. And we're praying that God will use us to bless the community this summer.
