Christmas was celebrated at the Oasis Bible Study. Every family in attendance received a special gift from the Boy's Home. Everyone shared what Christmas means to them.
Thanks to a new member at Oasis, we now have a praise team. Ricardo is on the drums, Jesus on keyboard, Antonio on bass and Andres plays the guitar. Kendi, Karla and Fernando lend their voices. They will be playing in the church soon.
Ken Blose visited the Young Adult Group of the Emmaculate Conception Church in Yuma Arizona. They are collecting gifts for the orphanage and boys home via a Christmas Tree program, which has been quite successful. Ken came to share about all that Caring Hearts does in San Luis. They will be bringing the gifts January 12.
Hna. Alejandrina and her daughter Alex held a Chrstmas Dinner for the leaders of Caring Hearts at the Soup Kitchen. A wonderful time of fellowship was shared by all as testimonies of the years events were shared. Baked Ham and Mashed potatoes were on the menu along with a beautiful cake.
We gave out the sponsor's Christmas gifts to the children of Bethel today. We want to especially thank Kristen and Kerrianne for blessing all the children with gifts, and all the sponsors who sent special gifts to their children. I also want to thank Brother Nacho for helping us cross the items. Kristen, Juana and Kendi were a big help in getting the gifts out. Here are some pictures, if you want to see all of them, check out our Facebook page...
Every Christmas Ines and her mother organize a breakfast for folks who have been deported or are waiting to go into the United States. They are usually served by the immigrant house, but they close on Christmas Day. This year Kendi made cupcakes for them. Here are some pictures:
