In July 2013 Juana, Kendi and I were visiting Pittsburgh. We decided to make a pit stop in a local market on the way to my dad´s house in Vandergrift. The Supermarket was in Holiday Park. As we were shoppping we ran into our friend, a frequent visitor to Mexico, Natalie. A couple of years ago she sponsored an event at a local horse stables and raised 1000 dollars for our shut ins. It was a surprise to find her in the store. For her, it was like a miracle.
Today, Natalie is the leader of our current group, 23 people from Belmont University, students from all over the United States, who are serving God through Caring Hearts for the first time. She told me last night that the day we ran into her in the supermarket, she was feeling down. She felt it was time to come back to Mexico again, but she wasn´t sure. When she saw us, she took it as a sign from God, and 8 months later, here she is in charge of a group in San Luis. What some would say is a conincidence was actually a divine appointment that has inspired people to leave their comfort zone and do something great for God. Pra
