Take a trip to Mexico
Caring Hearts Ministry in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico is set up to be an ideal location for short term missions teams.
San Luis has approximately 200,000 people and is stricken with poverty. While there have been many significant improvements and growth over the last few years, the average wage is still only about $22 per day, leaving some families living in make-shift homes without running water or electricity, and others barely scraping by.
Lately, you may have seen information about immigrant caravans in the media. There are hundreds of families “camping out” seeking asylum in the USA and living in tents at the border. These are families of mothers and children waiting to seek a better life in the USA.
With close proximity to the USA, just a 15-minute drive after crossing over the border South of Yuma, Arizona, we see it as our opportunity and responsibility to empower and provide a hand up to this community through the power of Christ. On your trip with Caring Hearts, you will have an opportunity to be a part of feeding the hungry, teaching skills to children and families looking to grow, building a home for a family in need, sharing the gospel and ministering to the people living in the dump or in our rehab centers, and so much more.
Our proximity to the U.S. border makes us an ideal place for an economic yet fulfilling missions trip. Our comfortable facilities and closeness to Arizona also make Caring Hearts an ideal location for first time missions teams. Whether you are organizing a church group or want to come with an established group, we have a place for you.
