Luis Andrés is fun-loving and energetic 10 years old who came to Oasis by request of his mother. She is struggling with drug addiction, and he has lived in multiple homes, where people would often take advantage of Luis by sending him to the streets to ask for money. He was living with his grandmother, which was a safe and secure environment, but due to her failing health, she can no longer take care of him. Luis Andrés came to Caring Hearts in poor health, lacking in manners and compassion and severely undereducated, having only completed one year of primary school. However, Luis is eager to learn and has already shown improvements in his health and his interactions with the other boys and adults within the house. We are thankful God has entrusted us to help rewrite the story of this young man by showing him the love and respect that has been missing, until now. We pray that in our care, Luis will heal, grow to love Jesus and love others the way Jesus loves. We trust that God is able and faithful!
